2018 has seemed like the fastest year on record for me. It has absolutely flown past and whilst I think I've done a fair bit of work, I don't think I did very much in my personal life. I think that will be part of my new years resolutions, to do more with my family and more with my spare time. It may mean I'm busier on the weekends but maybe it will make the year not go quite so fast.I'm still undecided on whether I'll take the kids to see the 9pm fireworks tonight or not and whether I'll stay up to see in the new year myself. 9pm is getting quite late for my kids but it is still the holidays and we don't have anything planned for tomorrow so it might be nice if they sleep in a little. I haven't stayed up until midnight on new years eve for probably close to 10 years, if not longer. If I make it to midnight, I can't imagine that I'd make it much further than that before I hit the sack.
Now that I think of it, I should check out facebook and see if there are any group rides on tonight that are going to check out the fireworks around Lake Burley Griffen, that could be something fun to do and I could possibly that the 360° camera with me too.
I'm also not on call for another week so having a few beers is very tempting too and unfortunately (or thankfully) beers and bikes don't play well together.
Maybe I'll just go for a ride to the 9pm fireworks and then come home and have some beers and stay up until midnight to ring in the new year. Decisions, decisions.
