360° Photography

Yesterday, after helping to de-clutter the house and giving it a clean I went and got the 360° camera out of the garage and put it on charge. I'm going to leave it in the house for the next few weeks so I remember to use it and take it with me if I head out anywhere with the kids. If the sky is clear at night I really want to try and take some photos with longer exposure. I took the camera out to a friends house last night to capture their Christmas lights. These guys go all out each year to raise money for charities.
Like I said earlier I want to get better at 360° photography and video. I also want to start uploading more content to the Motocamp360 instagram account so even if I'm not filming, I'm at least doing something motocamp related in 360°.
I've been thinking more and more about getting a drone and I think I'll have to do it. The biggest issue I have is that drones that are big enough to carry the 360° camera are possibly too big to take on the motorbike. I've been looking at getting folding drones, or at least ones that you can break down for transport. That's also a reason to reduce the amount of camping gear I take with me. I need to make sure that I have room for a drone. I'm starting to think that I may be better off custom building a drone as I don't need a camera on it and a lot of the drones come with their own cameras attached. If I can remove the camera, it will reduce weight as well as hopefully make it cheaper. I haven't really looked into how easy it is to buy parts to DIY a drone but there has to be a market for that out there.
Having drone and filming from it would be cool and I'm sure I could get some amazing shots, it would almost be like combining my love of flight simulators with motocamping and 360° cameras.
