Check, one, two

On Saturday afternoon I suddenly found myself at a loose end for about an hour. My wife had taken our daughter to swimming lessons and my son was invited over to a friends to play. I was going to sit down and work on this blog and then I thought, "Now is the perfect time to finally test that microphone". So that's what I did.
There is a little bit of electronic buzzing every now and then and the audio quality is OK. I tidied up the audio as best as I could in Davinci Resolve and it made it all sound a bit tinny. The wind noise is the real killer so I need to find a better way to deal with that. For this test all I did was put the mic in the cheek pad of the helmet with just the foam protector over it. I definitely got better sound with the chin bar on the helmet down so I will use that way from now on. I will also try and put the mic in the chin bar, closer to my mouth and use the dead cat cover I have for the mic to see if that makes it any better.
As I was riding along and talking, it kind of turned into a vlog, but as I didn't have the 360° camera with me I wasn't sure if or how I would post the audio. I then had the idea to put the audio to the dash cam footage that I would have from the trip. The footage isn't that great, I mainly have the dashcam just in case something happens and so there is a record of how I was riding prior to whatever happened and to assist with any insurance issues I may have.
