I've been looking forward to weighing myself and seeing the total number of steps and calories burnt this week but then I went ahead and forgot to weigh myself first thing this morning. I weighed myself in the late afternoon so the figure won't be quite right, but it is at least a guide to what's actually going on. I know that it has been quite a while since I've punished myself as hard as I have over the last week, my feet are still a little sore but at least my legs are feeling normal again.

Average daily calorie burn: 4,979
That is a massive week, clearly the biggest since I start this blog and I'm pretty sure it is the biggest since I got the fitbit a little over a year ago. The only day that I didn't get over 10,000 steps was last Sunday and for three of the seven days I got well over 4.6k cals burned, another day just over 4.6k cals and two more almost at 4.6k cals. Having the weight loss again reinforces the whole calories in vs calories burnt in my mind.
Today is the start of a new week and I have exceeded 10k steps but probably won't quite get there on cals burned. To have a productive Sunday is unusual for me but I hope that I can keep the momentum going and start exercising again. I took the kids down to the nearest park after lunch today and they have been riding their scooters out the front of the house most afternoons so they may be keen to go further abroad with me when I get home from work.
