My wife doesn't think that the new place feels like home yet, but I'm really quite enjoying it and have settled in well. The cat has even settled in well and seems her old self. She's a little flighty at times if there is a new noise but she's used to most things and has been quite happy sitting up on the couches with the kids or lying in the sun on the lounge room floor.
I did manage to get out for a quick walk last night and almost got to 10k steps for the day. Today when I got home from work the wife, kids and I went for a leisurely stroll to a nearby playground. during the stroll I clicked over the 10K mark so I'm pretty happy about that. I'm on call again, so off the beer for a couple of weeks and I think by the end of next weekend we'll be completely unpacked and the swings and trampoline will be set up. It should mean that I'll be able to put my feet up and relax over the next few weekends as I've decided not to worry further about the yard until the garden shed has arrived and I've put it up. This is because I'm not sure if I'll have room for a hedge along the whole back fence or just up to the shed. I may just plant a couple of trees and shrubs instead.
There is a community garden a short walk from home and it looks like there are some vacant lots, I may enquire and find out how much is costs and what's involved, I think my wife might be a little interested in it too.
I get a feeling that life in Googong is going to be really quite nice. It just goes to show that you don't really know unless you give it a go, if you recall, I was dead against moving out here at one stage.

Life's pretty good right now.
