Tonight the last bit of packing will get done, well at least as much as we can do before we go on holidays. Tomorrow night is for packing suitcases to take on holidays with us and maybe sugar soaping the sunroom walls. I'm going to try and pack enough to get me through the holiday and a few extra days when we get home so I don't have to worry about anything. There should be a washing machine at the holiday house so we may end up doing a load of washing on Thursday or Friday just to make sure we have enough clean clothes to get us through. It will be harder for my wife and kids as they need clothes to wear to work and school before we move where I can just wear whatever until after we've moved.
We must have close to 40 boxes packed and ready for the movers and we'll only have a couple more than that when we're done. We've thrown out a fair bit of stuff that we didn't need any more and sold or given away other stuff that was still of use to someone else. Things like baby food bowls or kids dvds that our kids have grown out of.
I haven't been as productive at work as I would have like the last couple of weeks but I think that is to be expected when I'm doing so much at home and have a lot on my mind. That's not to say that I've been doing nothing, the tempo has dropped off a little at work which I think is more just the lull before the storm. I'm pretty sure that when I'm away things are going to pick up a little and then when I get back there will be a whole truck load of work for me to catch up on.
Tomorrow will probably be a short day if I can get away with it but I'll just have to wait and see how things pan out.
