Sunday before last I put the steel flooring frame together. I didn't think that it would take as long as it did to put together but I was pretty happy with how it turned out. I started putting the wall panels together and managed to get one done on Sunday but then during the week I continued to make a panel each night after work.
On Wednesday night I put together one of the doors and there were that many screws that needed to be put in that on Thursday I went out and got myself an impact driver as the little electric screwdriver I have wasn't up to the task. Thursday after work I put together the other door and that meant everything was ready to go. All the parts came in quite a small box and I was surprised by how easy it all went together. On Saturday morning my wife and kids all helped me put the four walls up and put the gable support beam. I then went through and put all the roof panels on with some help from my wife. We had to stop just before lunch as my Dad was coming over to see the new house and I was cooking a leg of lamb on the Weber. After Dad left we took the kids to swimming and dropped some recycling off at the depot and even returned the bottle and cans that had a 10c deposit, we ended up donating the money which was just under $5.
On Sunday afternoon I went to the hardware store and got some plywood for the shed floor and managed to put it all in. I then started moving some stuff in before it started getting too dark.
All up I'm pretty happy with the result. I'll probably need to put some shelves up and some hooks to hang some things from but other than that it's perfect.
